MYMEDGEAR POLICIES
Terms & Conditions
How orders, payments, deliveries and use of the MyMedGear website work.
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms apply to the use of www.mymedgear.co.za and purchases made from My Med Gear (Pty) Ltd. They should be read together with our Returns & Refunds Policy, Privacy & POPIA Policy, Shipping & Delivery page and PAIA information.
2. Using our website
You must use the website lawfully and provide accurate information when creating an account or placing an order. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. A parent or legal guardian must assist where a customer is not legally able to contract independently.
3. Products, pricing and availability
We take reasonable care to display products, specifications, availability and prices accurately. Stock may change without notice. If a product is unavailable, materially mispriced or listed in error, we may contact you, cancel the affected item or order and refund any amount already paid. Nothing in this clause limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to buy the selected products. We may acknowledge receipt electronically. An order is accepted when we confirm that it can be fulfilled or dispatch the goods, subject to stock, payment and fraud-prevention checks. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will refund amounts received for the unavailable goods.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may include card payment, EFT or Instant EFT, vouchers and Cash on Delivery (COD) where available. COD may be limited by location, order type or courier support. Payment must be successfully authorised or otherwise completed before dispatch unless COD applies.
6. Delivery and collection
Delivery methods, rates and current service areas are explained on our Shipping & Delivery page. Delivery estimates are not guarantees where delays arise from couriers, suppliers, incorrect addresses, force majeure or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Risk passes in accordance with applicable law when goods are delivered or collected.
7. Returns, defects and refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains change-of-mind returns, statutory cooling-off rights where applicable, incorrect or damaged deliveries, defective goods, hygiene-sensitive goods and customised or embroidered products. Statutory consumer rights under the CPA and ECTA are not excluded by these Terms.
8. Vouchers, coupons and promotions
Promotional codes and vouchers may have campaign-specific conditions, expiry dates, minimum spend requirements or product exclusions. Purchased vouchers remain subject to applicable law. If a bundle or promotional item is returned, any refund may reflect the actual discounted amount paid.
9. Product information and medical use
Product descriptions are provided for shopping and general informational purposes. They are not medical advice. Where a product requires professional fitting, clinical judgment, prescription, supervision or specialised use, customers should obtain appropriate professional advice.
10. Intellectual property
Website content, branding, graphics, text and other materials are owned by or licensed to My Med Gear unless stated otherwise. They may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission, except as permitted by law.
11. Website availability and third parties
The website may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons. Links or services provided by third parties are subject to their own terms. We remain responsible for our obligations to consumers and do not exclude liability where the law does not allow us to do so.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, My Med Gear is not liable for losses that are indirect, unforeseeable or caused by misuse of products, third-party services or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable CPA rights.
13. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy & POPIA Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when our services, laws or operational practices change. The version published at the time of a transaction will ordinarily apply to that transaction unless the law requires otherwise.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by South African law. Customers may use any complaint, ombud, regulator or court process available to them under applicable law.
16. Contact
